حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: نَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، قَالَ: نَا بَشِيرُ بْنُ الْمُهَاجِرِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ؓ قَالَ:
أَهْدَى الْمُقَوْقِصُ الْقِبْطِيُّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ جَارِيَتَيْنِ أُخْتَيْنِ إِحْدَاهُمَا مَارِيَةُ أُمُّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَالْأُخْرَى وَهَبَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِحَسَّانَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، وَهِيَ أُمُّ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، وَأَهْدَى لَهُ بَغْلَةً فَقَبِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ

✧ Al-Muqawqis the Copt gifted the Messenger of God ﷺ two slave girls, sisters: one of them was Mariyah, mother of Ibrahim son of the Messenger of God ﷺ, and the other the Messenger of God ﷺ gave to Hassan b. Thabit; she is the mother of Abd al-Rahman b. Thabit. He also gifted him a mule, and the Messenger of God ﷺ accepted that from him.
