حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَهْلَةَ:
أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ يَوْمَ الدَّارِ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ عَهْدًا وَأَنَا صَابِرٌ نَفْسِي عَلَيْهِ.
