machine translationThis hadith from Thawbān, we do not know it to be narrated from anyone other than Thawbān with this wording from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and its chain is good (ḥasan). And we do not know that anyone narrated the hadith of Qatādah except Saʿīd b. Bashīr. The people of knowledge have narrated from Saʿīd b. Bashīr and tolerated his hadith, even though among his hadiths there are some on which no one else corroborated him.
