✧ What Fadalah b. 'Ubayd narrated from Abu al-Darda

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، قَالَ: نَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ، قَالَ: نَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

" خَلَقَ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى آدَمَ حِينَ خَلَقَهُ، فَضَرَبَ كَتِفَهُ الْيُمْنَى فَأَخْرَجَ ذُرِّيَّةً بَيْضَاءَ كَأَنَّهُمُ الذَّرُّ، وَضَرَبَ كَتِفَهُ الْيُسْرَى فَأَخْرَجَ ذُرِّيَّةً سَوْدَاءَ كَأَنَّهُمُ الْحُمَمُ، فَقَالَ: لِلَّذِي فِي يَمِينِهِ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَلَا أُبَالِي، وَقَالَ لِلَّذِي فِي يَسَارِهِ: إِلَى النَّارِ وَلَا أُبَالِي

✧ When Allah, Blessed and Exalted, created Adam, He struck his right shoulder and brought forth white offspring like ants, and struck his left shoulder and brought forth black offspring like charcoal. Then He said to those on His right: 'To Paradise, and I do not care,' and to those on His left: 'To the Fire, and I do not care.'
