✧ What Fadalah b. 'Ubayd narrated from Abu al-Darda

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: نَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُهَاجِرٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ -:

" لَا أُلْفِيَنَّ مَا نُوزِعْتُ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ يُقَالُ: إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثَ بَعْدَكَ ". قَالَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ: ادْعُ اللهَ أَلَّا يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ، قَالَ: " لَسْتَ مِنْهُمْ " - وَلَيْسَ هَذَا فِي حَدِيثِ أَحَدٍ

✧ "Let me not find any of you disputing with me at the Basin, being told, 'You do not know what he introduced after you.'" Abu al-Dardāʾ said, "Supplicate to Allah that He not make me one of them." He said, "You are not one of them" — and this is not in anyone else's hadith.
