✧ I used to seek out the private moments of the Messenger of God ﷺ. One day I went, and behold, he had gone out, so I followed him. He sat down in a place, and I sat near him. Then Abu Bakr came, greeted, and sat to the right of the Prophet ﷺ. Then Umar came and sat to the right of Abu Bakr. Then Uthman came and sat to the right of Umar. He said: The Prophet ﷺ took some pebbles, and they glorified God in his hand until I heard for them a humming like the humming of bees. Then he put them down, and they fell silent. Then he put them in the hand of Abu Bakr, and they glorified God in his hand until I heard for them a humming like the humming of bees. Then he put them down, and they fell silent. Then he took them and placed them in the hand of Umar, and they glorified God in his hand until I heard for them a humming like the humming of bees. Then he put them down, and they fell silent. Then he took them and placed them in the hand of Uthman, and they glorified God in his hand until I heard for them a humming like the humming of bees. Then he put them down, and they fell silent.
