حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ النَّشَائِيُّ قَالَ: نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي زَكَرِيَّا الْغَسَّانِيُّ أَبُو مَرْوَانَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ بُدَيْلِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ؓ قَالَ:
" أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي ﷺ أَنْ أَصِلَ رَحِمِي وَإِنْ أَدْبَرَتْ، وَأَنْ أَقُولَ الْحَقَّ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مُرًّا، وَأَنْ لَا تَأْخُذَنِي فِي اللهِ لَوْمَةُ لَائِمٍ، وَأَنْ أَنْظُرَ إِلَى مَنْ تَحْتِي، وَلَا أَنْظُرَ إِلَى مَنْ فَوْقِي، وَأَنْ أُجَالِسَ الْمَسَاكِينَ وَأَنْ أُكْثِرَ مِنْ قَوْلِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

✧ "My close friend ﷺ enjoined me to maintain ties with my relatives even if they turn away, to speak the truth even if it is bitter, to not let the blame of any blamer overtake me in the cause of Allah, to look at those who are below me and not at those who are above me, to sit with the poor, and to say frequently: lā ḥawla wa-lā quwwata illā billāh (There is no power and no strength except with Allah)."
