✧ Uthman went out for Hajj and saw Abdullah b. Ja’far wearing safflower-dyed clothes. Uthman said to him, “Why do you wear safflower-dyed clothes when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade safflower-dyed clothes?” Ali said, “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not forbid you or him from safflower-dyed clothes; he only forbade me.”
