أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ:

خَطَبَنَا النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، تَرَاحَمُوا، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِأُذُنَيَّ هَاتَيْنِ يَقُولُ: الْمُسْلِمُونَ كَالرَّجُلِ الْوَاحِدِ، إِذَا اشْتَكَى عُضْوٌ مِنْ أَعْضَائِهِ تَدَاعَى سَائِرُ جَسَدِهِ

Translation

✧ Al-Nu'man b. Bashir addressed us and said: O people, be merciful to one another, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with these two ears of mine say: The Muslims are like a single man; if one of his limbs complains, the rest of his body responds with sleeplessness and fever.
