✧ The first hadith of Abu Musa

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ هَيَّاجٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ؓ قَالَ:
مَرِضَ سَعْدٌ بِمَكَّةَ، فَأَتَاهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَعُودُهُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَيْسَ تَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَمُوتَ الرَّجُلُ فِي الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي هَاجَرَ مِنْهَا، قَالَ: بَلَى، وَلَعَلَّ اللهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَرْفَعُكَ فَيَضُرُّ بِكَ قَوْمًا، وَيَنْفَعُ آخَرِينَ بِكَ.

✧ Sa'd fell ill in Makkah, so the Prophet ﷺ came to visit him. He said to him: 'O Messenger of God, do you not dislike that a man should die in the land from which he emigrated?' He said: 'Indeed, but perhaps God, Blessed and Exalted, will raise you so that through you He will harm some people and benefit others.'
