✧ The first hadith of Abu Musa

أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَا: أَخْبَرَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ مَطَرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ

أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى أَبِي مُوسَى وَهُوَ يَحْتَجِمُ لَيْلًا، فَقَالَ: لَوْ كَانَ هَذَا نَهَارًا، فَقَالَ: تَأْمُرُونِي أَنْ أُهَرِيقَ دَمِيَ وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ، وَقَدْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ

✧ He entered upon Abu Musa while he was cupping at night, and said: 'Would that this were during the day.' He (Abu Musa) said: 'Do you order me to shed my blood while I am fasting?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The cupper and the one cupped have broken the fast.'
