✧ The first hadith of Abu Musa

أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ
أَنَّهُ سَمَّى لَنَا نَفْسَهُ أَسْمَاءً، فَمِنْهَا مَا حَفِظْنَا، فَقَالَ: أَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ وَأَحْمَدُ وَالْحَاشِرُ الْمُقَفِّي وَنَبِيُّ التَّوْبَةِ وَنَبِيُّ الْمَلْحَمَةِ

✧ He named himself for us with names, some of which we remembered. He said: 'I am Muḥammad, Aḥmad, al-Ḥāshir, al-Muqaffī, the Prophet of repentance, and the Prophet of the great battle.'
