حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْكُوفِيُّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا قَيْسٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ شَبِيبِ بْنِ غَرْقَدَةَ، عَنِ الْمُسْتَظِلِّ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

" كُلُّكُمْ بَنُو آدَمَ، وَآدَمُ خُلِقَ مِنْ تُرَابٍ لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ قَوْمٌ يَفْخَرُونَ بِآبَائِهِمْ أَوْ لَيَكُونَنَّ أَهْوَنَ عَلَى اللهِ مِنَ الْجَعْلَانِ

✧ All of you are children of Adam, and Adam was created from dust. People will certainly stop boasting about their ancestors, or they will surely be more insignificant in the sight of Allah than the dung beetle.
