✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in a funeral prayer, and I memorized from his supplication: “O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, pardon him, and excuse him; honor his hospitality, widen his entrance, wash him with water, snow, and hail, and purify him from sins as a white garment is purified from dirt; replace him with a home better than his home, a family better than his family, and a spouse better than his spouse; admit him to Paradise and protect him from the punishment of the grave and from the punishment of the Fire,” until I wished that I were that deceased person.
