✧ among what Muhammad b. Usama b. Zayd narrated from his father Usama

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ السَّبَّاقِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:

" لَمَّا ثَقُلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، هَبَطْتُ، وَهَبَطَ النَّاسُ مَعِي، فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، وَقَدْ أُصْمِتَ فَلَا يَتَكَلَّمُ فَجَعَلَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ، ثُمَّ يَضَعُهَا عَلَيَّ فَأَعْرِفُ أَنَّهُ يَدْعُو لِي

Translation

✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ became gravely ill, I descended, and the people descended with me. I entered upon the Messenger of God ﷺ while he had been silenced, so he was not speaking. He began raising his hand toward the sky, then placing it upon me, so I knew that he was supplicating for me.
