✧ We sighted the new moon – I was a man of sharp sight – so I said: O Commander of the Believers, do you not see it? He said: I hope to see it, and I am on my bed. Then he began to tell us, saying: 'The Messenger of God ﷺ showed us the places where the people would fall on the night of Badr: This is the place where so-and-so will fall tomorrow, if God wills, and this is the place where so-and-so will fall tomorrow, if God wills. And none of them moved from the place the Messenger of God had mentioned.'
