حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ؓ قَالَ:

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَبَيْنَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَهُ إِذْ قَالَ: لَيَدْخُلَنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ لَعِينٌ، وَكُنْتُ تَرَكْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ يَلْبَسُ ثِيَابَهُ لِيَلْحَقَنِي، فَمَا زِلْتُ أَنْظُرُ وَأَخَافُ، حَتَّى دَخَلَ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ

Translation

✧ I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and while we were with him, he said, 'A cursed man will certainly enter upon you.' I had left ʿAmr b. al-ʿĀṣ putting on his clothes to catch up with me, and I kept looking and fearing, until al-Ḥakam b. Abī al-ʿĀṣ entered.
