✧ When it was the day of ‘Arafah, and al-Fadl was riding behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Ibn Abbas said: "The people were many around the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When the people crowded around him, I said: 'Al-Fadl will inform me about what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did.'" Al-Fadl said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed with the people, and he began pulling the head of his camel and restraining it, and he kept calling out: 'O people, be calm!' until he reached Muzdalifah and prayed Maghrib and ‘Isha. Then he spent the night at Muzdalifah until dawn appeared, then prayed Subh there. Then he stood at al-Mash‘ar al-Haram, and the people departed with him until he reached Muhassir. He urged his mount on for a while and kept saying: 'You must use pebbles like those of khudhf (small pebbles).'"
