حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ قَالَ: نَا مَعْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ: نَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ قُسَيْطٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَطَبَهُمْ فِي شَكْوَاهُ الَّذِي تُوُفِّيَ فِيهِ، فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ دَنَا مِنِّي خُفُوقٌ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَظْهُرِكُمْ فَمَنْ شَتَمْتُ لَهُ عِرْضًا فَهَذَا عِرْضِي، وَمَنْ ضَرَبْتُ لَهُ ظَهْرًا فَهَذَا ظَهْرِي، فَلْيَسْتَقِدْ مِنْهُ "، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " الْحَقُّ بَعْدِي مَعَ عُمَرَ حَيْثُ كَانَ

✧ That the Prophet ﷺ addressed them during the illness in which he died. He praised and extolled Allah, then said: "Now then, my departure from among you has drawn near. Whoever I have insulted his honor, here is my honor; whoever I have struck his back, here is my back—let him take retaliation from me." Then he said: "The truth after me is with Umar wherever he is."
