machine translationThe mawqūf version is the sound (ṣaḥīḥ) one from the hadith of Abū Isḥāq and Ḥumayd b. Hilāl, while its attribution to the Prophet (marfūʿ) is sound (ṣaḥīḥ) from the hadith of Qatādah.
in مسند البزار, p. 2075 - Ibn Khuzaymah
machine translationFor I do not know of any declaration of reliability (ʿadālah) or criticism (jarḥ) concerning al-Sāʾib, the freed slave of Umm Salamah, nor do I find that Ḥabīb b. Abī Thābit heard this report from Ibn ʿUmar, nor whether Qatādah heard his report from Mawriq, from Abū al-Aḥwaṣ, or not. Rather, I almost have no doubt that Qatādah did not hear from Abū al-Aḥwaṣ, because in some of the reports of Abū al-Aḥwaṣ he inserted Mawriq between himself and Abū al-Aḥwaṣ, and in this very report Hammām and Saʿīd b. Bashīr inserted Mawriq between them.

machine translationIts attribution to the Prophet (marfūʿ) is sound (ṣaḥīḥ) from the hadith of Qatādah, while the sound (ṣaḥīḥ) report from Abū Isḥāq and Ḥumayd b. Hilāl is that both narrated it from Abū al-Aḥwaṣ, from ʿAbdullāh, as a statement of the Companion (mawqūf).
