حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الصَّائِغُ، قَالَ: نَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: نَا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ أَبِي حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ وَثَّابٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ:

دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى بِلَالٍ وَعِنْدَهُ صُبْرٌ مِنْ تَمْرٍ فَقَالَ: مَا هَذَا يَا بِلَالُ ؟ قَالَ: أَعُدُّ ذَلِكَ لِأَضْيَافِكَ، قَالَ: أَمَا تَخْشَى أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ دُخَانٌ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ، أَنْفِقْ يَا بِلَالُ وَلَا تَخْشَ مِنْ ذِي الْعَرْشِ إِقْلَالًا

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered upon Bilal while he had a heap of dates. He said: 'What is this, O Bilal?' He said: 'I am storing it for your guests.' He said: 'Do you not fear that it will have smoke in the Fire of Hell? Spend, O Bilal, and do not fear poverty from the Owner of the Throne.'
