حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: نَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ ثُوَيْرِ بْنِ أَبِي فَاخِتَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ:
أَوَّلُ مَنْ نَقَصَ التَّكْبِيرَ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: نَقَصُوهَا نَقَصَهُمُ اللهُ، لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُكَبِّرُ كُلَّمَا رَكَعَ، وَكُلَّمَا سَجَدَ، وَكُلَّمَا رَفَعَ

✧ The first to reduce the takbir was al-Walid b. ‘Uqbah. ‘Abd Allah said: “They reduced it, so may Allah reduce them. I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say the takbir whenever he bowed, whenever he prostrated, and whenever he raised.”
