✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed a prayer and added to it or omitted from it. When he said the salam, it was said to him, 'O Messenger of Allah, has something occurred in the prayer?' He said, 'No, and what is that?' They said, 'You prayed such and such.' So he bent his leg, faced the qiblah, prostrated twice, then said the salam. When he said the salam, he turned his face toward us and said, 'If something had occurred in the prayer, I would have informed you of it. But I am only a human being; I forget as you forget. So when I forget, remind me. And when any of you doubts in prayer, let him strive to ascertain what is correct, complete upon that, then say the salam, then prostrate twice.'
