✧ The wretched is he who was wretched in his mother's womb. When the drop of semen settles in the womb, an angel descends to it. When Allah decrees the creation of what is in her womb, the angel says: 'O my Lord, male or female?' And Allah, Blessed and Exalted, decrees, and the angel writes. Then he says: 'O my Lord, what is his provision?' And Allah decrees to the angel, and the angel writes. Then he says: 'O my Lord, wretched or blessed?' And Allah decrees to the angel, and the angel writes.
