  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationṬalḥah b. Muṣarrif narrates it from Muṣʿab b. Saʿd. Zubayd, Misʿar and Layth transmitted it and connected it (waṣalūhu). Muḥammad b. Ṭalḥah narrated it from Ṭalḥah from Muṣʿab b. Saʿd: that Saʿd saw that he had merit over those beneath him, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said [it]; but he did not give it a connected chain (musnad) as others did. Muḥammad b. Ṭalḥah did not hear from his father, and the connected version is more sound (aṣaḥḥ).
