حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: نَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:
ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَفِيَّةَ، فَقُلْنَا: قَدْ حَاضَتْ. فَقَالَ: عَقْرَى - أَوْ: حَلْقَى - مَا أُرَاهَا إِلَّا حَابِسَتَنَا، فَقُلْنَا: إِنَّهَا قَدْ طَافَتْ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ. قَالَ: فَلَا إِذًا، مُرُوهَا فَلْتَنْفِرْ.

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned Safiyyah, so we said, 'She has menstruated.' He said, 'Aqra! — or: Halqa! — I think she will hold us back.' We said, 'She has already performed tawaf on the Day of Sacrifice.' He said, 'Then no; tell her to depart.'
