حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: / 127 - نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو قَتَادَةَ الْعَدَوِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَخِي الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَأَسْمَاءَ أَنَّهُمَا قَالَتَا:

قَدِمَتْ عَلَيْنَا أُمُّنَا الْمَدِينَةَ وَهِيَ مُشْرِكَةٌ فِي الْهُدْنَةِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ بَيْنَ قُرَيْشٍ وَبَيْنَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ أُمَّنَا قَدِمَتْ عَلَيْنَا رَاغِبَةً، أَفَنَصِلُهَا ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَصِلَاهَا

✧ Our mother came to us in Madinah while she was a polytheist, during the truce that was between Quraysh and the Messenger of God ﷺ. We said, 'O Messenger of God, our mother has come to us desiring [contact]; should we maintain ties with her?' He said, 'Yes, so maintain ties with her.'
