The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from seven things: he forbade us from the gold ring - or he said: the gold band - and from silk, brocade (istabraq), silk brocade (dībāj), the red saddle-cloth (mīthara), the qassī garments, and vessels of silver.

machine translationSawwār b. Muṣʿab narrates it from ʿAmr b. Qays, from Ashʿath b. Abī al-Shaʿthāʾ, from his paternal aunt, in this form, and he erred in it. The correct version is from Ashʿath, from Muʿāwiyah b. Suwayd b. Muqarrin, from al-Barāʾ, likewise. This is how al-Shaybānī, Misʿar, Shuʿbah and Layth b. Abī Sulaym narrated it from Ashʿath.
