Al-Bukhārī narrated it in al-Ṣaḥīḥ from Isḥāq b. Shāhīn. Yazīd b. Zurayʿ also narrated it, from Khālid al-Ḥadhdhāʾ, and added in it: "then he kissed it." (Hilāl b. Muḥammad al-Ḥaffār informed us: al-Ḥusayn b. Yaḥyā b. ʿAyyāsh al-Qaṭṭān informed us: Abū al-Ashʿath narrated to us: Yazīd b. Zurayʿ narrated to us, and he mentioned it with similar meaning and with the addition.) Then Yazīd said: "He would kiss that thing which was in his hand."
