✧ The Obligation of Hajj Once

( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْبَجَلِيُّ، ثَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:

خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّ اللهَ كَتَبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْحَجَّ. فَقَامَ الْأَقْرَعُ بْنُ حَابِسٍ فَقَالَ: أَفِي كُلِّ عَامٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ: " لَوْ قُلْتُهَا لَوَجَبَتْ، وَلَوْ وَجَبَتْ لَمْ تَعْمَلُوا بِهَا، وَلَمْ تَسْتَطِيعُوا أَنْ تَعْمَلُوا بِهَا، الْحَجُّ مَرَّةٌ، فَمَنْ زَادَ فَتَطَوُّعٌ
