(And Abū Bakr b. al-Ḥasan al-Qāḍī informed us, Abū al-ʿAbbās informed us, al-Rabīʿ informed us, al-Shāfiʿī informed us, Mālik informed us, from Hishām b. ʿUrwah, and he mentioned it likewise.) Except that he did not mention the saying of ʿUrwah in our narration, though he mentioned it in al-Mabsūṭ. Al-Bukhārī narrated it in the Ṣaḥīḥ from al-Qaʿnabī from Mālik, and Muslim reported it from the hadith of Ibn ʿUyaynah from Hishām.
