That he went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of Khaybar, until, when he was at al-Ṣahbāʾ, on the outskirts of Khaybar, he prayed the ʿAṣr prayer. Then he called for the provisions, but nothing was brought except barley meal (sawīq). So he ordered it, and it was moistened. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate, and we ate with him. Then he got up for the Maghrib prayer, and he rinsed his mouth and we rinsed our mouths. Then he prayed and did not perform ablution.
