أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ، أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ:

أَنَّ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ مَعْرُورٍ كَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنِ اسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ، وَكَانَ أَحَدَ السَّبْعِينَ النُّقَبَاءَ فَقَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُهَاجِرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَجَعَلَ يُصَلِّي نَحْوَ الْقِبْلَةِ، فَلَمَّا حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ أَوْصَى بِثُلُثِ مَالِهِ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَضَعُهُ حَيْثُ شَاءَ وَقَالَ: وَجِّهُونِي فِي قَبْرِي نَحْوَ الْقِبْلَةِ، فَقَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَعْدَ سَنَةٍ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ هُوَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ وَرَدَّ ثُلُثَ مِيرَاثِهِ عَلَى وَلَدِهِ
