( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ابْنُ بِنْتِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثَنَا جَدِّي، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو مَرْوَانَ الْعُثْمَانِيُّ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ:
أُتِيَ ابْنُ عَوْفٍ يَعْنِي عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بِطَعَامٍ فَقَالَ: قُتِلَ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ وَكَانَ خَيْرًا مِنِّي فَلَمْ يُوجَدْ لَهُ إِلَّا بُرْدَةٌ يُكَفَّنُ فِيهَا، وَقُتِلَ حَمْزَةُ أَوْ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ وَكَانَ خَيْرًا مِنِّي فَلَمْ يُوجَدْ لَهُ إِلَّا بُرْدَةٌ يُكَفَّنُ فِيهَا. مَا أَظُنُّنَا إِلَّا قَدْ عُجِّلَتْ لَنَا حَسَنَاتُنَا فِي حَيَاتِنَا الدُّنْيَا
