  • Abū Zakariyyā Yaḥyá b. Sharaf al-Nawawī

machine translationThe chain of this hadith is good (ḥasan) except for one man whose condition I cannot verify, and Abū Dāwūd was silent about it and did not declare it weak.

  • ʿAbd al-ʿAẓīm al-Mudhirī

machine translationIn it is Muḥammad b. Isḥāq, and in it is someone who is not well known. The correct view is that this story concerns Zaynab, because Umm Kulthūm died while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was absent at Badr.

  • ʿAbd al-ʿAẓīm al-Mudhirī

machine translationIn it is Muḥammad b. Isḥāq, and in it is someone who is not well known.

  • ʿAbd al-ʿAẓīm al-Mudhirī

machine translationThis is an unfamiliar (gharīb) hadith. Then he said: In it is Muḥammad b. Isḥāq, and there is some criticism of him, and what they most faulted him for was concealment (tadlīs). In this hadith he explicitly stated that he heard it directly (taḥdīth), so it can be used as evidence and it is good (ḥasan).

  • Ibn al-Qaṭṭān
