أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ، ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، قَالَ:

كَانَ أَهْلُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَقُولُونَ: إِنَّ الدَّهْرَ هُوَ الَّذِي يُهْلِكُنَا، هُوَ الَّذِي يُمِيتُنَا وَيُحْيِينَا. فَرَدَّ اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ قَوْلَهُمْ، قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: يَقُولُ اللهُ - تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى -: يُؤْذِينِي ابْنُ آدَمَ، يَسُبُّ الدَّهْرَ، وَأَنَا الدَّهْرُ، أُقَلِّبُ لَيْلَهُ وَنَهَارَهُ، فَإِذَا شِئْتُ، قَبَضْتُهُمَا. وَتَلَا سُفْيَانُ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: وَقَالُوا مَا هِيَ إِلا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا يُهْلِكُنَا إِلا الدَّهْرُ
