We used to rejoice at the day of Friday. I said: "And why?" He said: We had an old woman who would send to Buḍāʿah, and she would take some roots of beet greens and throw them into a pot, and she would grind some barley into it. When we had prayed, we would go to her to greet her, and she would serve it to us. So we used to rejoice at the day of Friday because of that, and we would not take a midday nap or eat lunch except after the Friday prayer.
