حَدَّثَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ إِمْلَاءً وَقِرَاءَةً، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ الْعُطَارِدِيُّ، ثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ:
كُنْتُ قَائِدَ أَبِي حِينَ كُفَّ بَصَرُهُ فَإِذَا خَرَجْتُ بِهِ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ فَسَمِعَ الْأَذَانَ بِهَا اسْتَغْفَرَ لِأَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَسْعَدَ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ. فَمَكَثْتُ حِينًا أَسْمَعُ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ فَقُلْتُ: إِنَّ عَجْزًا أَنْ لَا أَسْأَلَهُ عَنْ هَذَا فَخَرَجْتُ كَمَا كُنْتُ أَخْرُجُ فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ الْأَذَانَ بِالْجُمُعَةِ اسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُ فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَبَتَاهُ أَرَأَيْتَ اسْتِغْفَارَكَ لِأَسْعَدَ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ كُلَّمَا سَمِعْتَ الْأَذَانَ بِالْجُمُعَةِ، فَقَالَ: أَيْ بُنَيَّ كَانَ أَسْعَدُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ جَمَّعَ بِنَا فِي الْمَدِينَةِ قَبْلَ مَقْدَمِ رَسُولِ اللهِ - ﷺ فِي هَزْمٍ مِنْ حَرَّةِ بَنِي بَيَاضَةَ فِي نَقِيعٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ الْخَضِمَاتُ، قُلْتُ: وَكَمْ أَنْتُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ؟ قَالَ: أَرْبَعُونَ رَجُلًا
