The Prophet ﷺ made a small room of woven mat in the mosque, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed in it until people gathered around him. Then they missed his voice and thought that he had fallen asleep, so some of them began to clear their throats so that he would come out to them. He said: "What I saw of your doing has continued among you until I feared that it would be written upon you. And if it were written upon you, you would not keep up with it. So pray in your homes, O people, for the best prayer of a person is in his house, except the obligatory prayer."
