( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ مَطَرٍ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، ثَنَا أَبِي، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي هَارُونَ الْغَنَوِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ حِطَّانَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا ؓ يَقُولُ:
الْوِتْرُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَنْوَاعٍ، فَمَنْ شَاءَ أَوْتَرَ أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ، ثُمَّ إِنْ صَلَّى صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ، وَمَنْ شَاءَ أَوْتَرَ ثُمَّ إِنْ صَلَّى صَلَّى رَكْعَةً شَفْعًا لِوِتْرِهِ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ أَوْتَرَ، وَمَنْ شَاءَ لَمْ يُوتِرْ حَتَّى يَكُونَ آخِرَ صَلَاتِهِ
