The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the House and prayed two rakʿahs between the two pillars. Then he went out and prayed two rakʿahs between the door and the Ḥijr, then said: "This is the qiblah." Then he entered another time, and stood in it supplicating, then went out and did not pray.

machine translationIf these two reports are authentic, they indicate that he, peace be upon him, entered the House twice, praying once and not praying the other time; however, there is doubt about the authenticity of the two hadiths.
