When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah hears whoever praises Him," in the last rak'ah of the late night prayer ('Ishā'), he would perform qunūt, and he said: "O Allah, save al-Walīd b. al-Walīd. O Allah, save ʿAyyāsh b. Abī Rabīʿah. O Allah, save Salamah b. Hishām. O Allah, save the oppressed among the believers. O Allah, press down Your tread hard upon Muḍar. O Allah, make them years like the years of Yūsuf."
