3092 - Abū Dāwūd said: Sulaymān b. Dāwūd al-ʿAtakī and Aḥmad b. Yūnus narrated to us, they said: Yaʿqūb narrated to us, from Jaʿfar, from Saʿīd b. Jubayr, from the Prophet ﷺ, with the same meaning, as a mursal report. The Shaykh, may God have mercy on him, said: It seems that he ﷺ used to do this for a time, and what Ibn ʿUmar narrated about the two rakʿahs of Maghrib in his house was for a time. And success is with God. ):

machine translationIt is related from Yaʿqūb al-Ashʿarī that he said: These hadiths that I narrate to you from Jaʿfar from Saʿīd are all from Ibn ʿAbbās from the Prophet ﷺ. If what is related is true, then it is sound (ṣaḥīḥ); and if it is not true, then it is Saʿīd's own saying. And Abū Zurʿah said: In my view this is from Saʿīd's own saying.
