I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I will surely watch how he prays." He faced the qiblah and said the takbīr, and raised his hands until they were level with his shoulders. Then he took hold of his left hand with his right. When he wanted to bow, he raised his hands until they were level with his shoulders, and when he bowed he placed his hands on his knees. When he wanted to rise, he raised his hands until they were level with his shoulders. When he prostrated, he placed his hands at that same place in relation to his face. When he sat, he spread out his left foot, placed his left hand on his left thigh, and placed the edge of his right elbow on his right thigh. He closed two fingers, made a circle with one, and pointed with the index finger.
