أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ: الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو يَعْلَى، ثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّاقِدُ، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ:

إِذَا كُنْتَ إِمَامًا فَخَفِّفْ، فَإِنَّ فِي النَّاسِ الْكَبِيرَ، وَالضَّعِيفَ، وَذَا الْحَاجَةِ، وَإِذَا صَلَّيْتَ وَحْدَكَ فَطَوِّلْ مَا بَدَا لَكَ، وَفِي كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ اقْرَأْ، فَمَا أَسْمَعَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَسْمَعْنَاكُمْ، وَمَا أَخْفَى عَنَّا أَخْفَيْنَا عَنْكُمْ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ لَمْ أَزِدْ عَلَى أُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ ؟ قَالَ: إِنْ زِدْتَ عَلَيْهَا فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ، وَإِنِ انْتَهَيْتَ إِلَيْهَا أَجْزَأَ عَنْكَ
