( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ، أَنْبَأَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، أَنْبَأَ الشَّافِعِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لَهُ يَعْنِي لِعَطَاءٍ الْمُكَاتَبُ يَمُوتُ وَلَهُ وَلَدٌ أَحْرَارٌ وَيَدَعُ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا بَقِيَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ كِتَابَتِهِ قَالَ يُقْضَى عَنْهُ مَا بَقِيَ مِنْ كِتَابَتِهِ وَمَا كَانَ مِنْ فَضْلٍ فَلِبَنِيهِ فَقُلْتُ أَبَلَغَكَ هَذَا عَنْ أَحَدٍ ؟ قَالَ زَعَمُوا أَنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ كَانَ يَقْضِي بِهِ
