machine translationAl-Dāraquṭnī was asked about it and said: ʿAbd al-Razzāq, Hishām b. Sulaymān, Ḥajjāj and Abū Qatādah raised it (rafaʿahu) from Ibn Jurayj to the Prophet ﷺ, while Rawḥ transmitted it from Ibn Jurayj as mawqūf. Likewise Zuhayr, Hushaym, Ibn ʿUlayyah, Jarīr, Asbāṭ b. Muḥammad, al-Muḥāribī, Ḥammād b. Salamah and Bakr b. Khunays narrated it from ʿAṭāʾ b. al-Sāʾib as mawqūf. Likewise ʿAbd al-Aʿlā al-Thaʿlabī narrated it from Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān as mawqūf, and that is the correct one.
