وَرَوَاهُ عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ، وَرَوَاهُ ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ وَيَتَكَاذَبَانِ، وَرَوَاهُ شَيْبَانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَ مُطَرِّفُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ حِمَارٍ:
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ أَرَأَيْتَ رَجُلًا يَشْتُمُنِي وَهُوَ أَنْقَصُ مِنِّي نَسَبًا ؟ ! فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: الْمُسْتَبَّانِ شَيْطَانَانِ يَتَهَاتَرَانِ، وَيَتَكَاذَبَانِ
