( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَطَّانُ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ: ذَكَرَ سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ:
سَأَلَ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ قَاضِي الْكُوفَةِ، وَقَالَ الْقَاضِي: لَا يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يَكُونَ قَاضِيًا، حَتَّى يَكُونَ فِيهِ خَمْسُ خِصَالٍ: عَفِيفٌ، حَلِيمٌ، عَالِمٌ بِمَا كَانَ قَبْلَهُ، يَسْتَشِيرُ ذَوِي الْأَلْبَابِ، لَا يُبَالِي بِمَلَامَةِ النَّاسِ
