When one of you purifies himself, let him mention the name of Allah over it, for then his whole body is purified. But if one of you does not mention the name of Allah over his purification, only the part the water has passed over will be purified. And when one of you has finished his purification, let him testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger, then let him send blessings upon me. When he says that, the gates of mercy are opened for him.

machine translationYaḥyā b. Hāshim narrates from Hishām b. ʿUrwah, al-Aʿmash, al-Thawrī and Shuʿbah other than what has been mentioned, and he also narrates from Ismāʿīl b. Abī Khālid, Abū Ḥanīfah and others reprehensible reports (manākīr), which he attributes falsely to them, and he steals the hadiths of the trustworthy. He is himself accused, as he did not meet these men; most of his hadiths from these and others are only reprehensible (manākīr), fabricated (mawḍūʿāt) and stolen (masrūqāt), and he is counted among those who fabricate hadith.
